Calming Prayer to Start Your Day with Ease When You Feel Anxious
00:00 Welcome 00:30 A reminder from Jesus when you're tired from anxiety 00:56 Prayer 03:58 A gift for you to help you live free from anxiety Here's the prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for keeping me through the night and waking me up this morning. Although I have a lot weighing on my mind and heart, and although I’m still tired, I am grateful to see another day. As I step out into this new day, I pray You guide my steps away from anything that is not of You and instead towards Your purpose for my life. Please forgive me for my missteps and lead me towards Your better way with the grace and mercy only You can provide. Lord, I often feel like I’m not enough and that I need to strive and seek to do more and more, but this has only left me weary and tired. I pray for Your wisdom to guide my steps and Your strength to empower my soul for all that I am called to do today. Please keep me from becoming distracted by lesser things and help me stay focused on what matters most. May my priorities align with Your perfect will. I have lots of things to do and decisions to make today, but I pray for Your peace to cover my mind and heart. I pray for the wisdom to work for Your glory alone. Because of Your love and acceptance of me, I don't have to work to prove myself to anyone. Because of Your helping hand, I do not have to worry about today. I release my worry and anxieties to You and place them in Your gentle care. You care about all the issues overwhelming my heart today, and I trust You can do more with them than I can. So I give them over to You. I enter today with a light heart because you carry my worries, and your burden is light. 1 Peter 5:7 reminds me to: “Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.” (1 Peter 5:7 NIV) I can approach today with peace because I know You are with me in each step that I take. Holding my hand, I know You won’t let me fall. Psalm 46:5 reminds me: “God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved; God will help her when morning dawns.” (Psalm 46:5 ESV) I can walk in today without the heavy burden of my past mistakes, the overwhelm of all that needs to get done, and what the future may hold because Your mercies are made new each morning. Thank You, Lord, for entrusting me with this new day and for Your love that covers me. I have Your peace and protection. I trust You today and always. In Jesus Christ’s Name, I pray. Amen. from video introduction
