Confidence Man & The Breaking of America

"Confidence Man": Maggie Haberman on Donald Trump

Video from CBS Sunday Morning

"The New York Times correspondent has been covering the world of Donald Trump since her days as a metro reporter in the late 1990s. Maggie Haberman talks with CBS News' John Dickerson about her new book, "Confidence Man," and about how the real estate developer/casino owner's "playbook" has not changed since he entered politics" from video introduction

Has Trump Broken America?

Has Trump broken America OR have we the citizens of America with the help of Trump broken America?

The reality is we as a nation and a people have been in moral and spiritual decline for decades. This is a fact few will dispute.

Trump has been dubious for decades himself and has held no moral high ground in fact quit the opposite.

Yes I know the excuses we must send in our best fighter or Trump is a Cyrus sent by God. Perhaps but remember Cyrus was punishment. And yes I know that many of our founding fathers were "criminals", (For further reading an excellent article: The Problem With the Founding Fathers ) yet that I my opinion is not a morally acceptable reason. As we have become more sinful, more accepting of lying and cheating for material gain as a nation and a people we also are gravitating to leaders who lie, cheat and steal.

Our values and ethics have become so diluted by the culture we now have a ferocity of hate and discord with everyone.

The plague of social media (Twitter a prime example) promotes the worst in us and we gladly jump on board. We can no longer control our passions.

Christianity in America seems to have morphed into a cultural shell of its former self with many self-proclaimed Christians identifying more with politics (Trump for example) than Jesus!

Ask yourself, is America broken?

As was the case with Israel in the Bible and many nations since the solution is always obedience to God. Will be become obedient or continue with the help of men like Trump to dig our nations grave? - Andy
