DONALD TRUMP IS A REFLECTION OF US - Simon Sinek on Trump

Video from London Real

Simon Sinek is an unshakable optimist. He believes in a bright future and our ability to build it together. Described as “a visionary thinker with a rare intellect,” Sinek teaches leaders and organizations how to inspire people. With a bold goal to help build a world in which the vast majority of people go home everyday feeling fulfilled by their work, Sinek is leading a movement to inspire people to do the things that inspire them. from Video introduction.

Trump has wrecked much of our democracy. We have let him. But he is not the cause of our dysfunction and social breakdown. It has been said people don't love who Donald Trump is, they love who he's not. As Simon points out the republican party has aligned itself for someone as opposed to" being for the people."

The Republican Party then bears some of the responsibility for helping Trump tear down our democracy.

The power of the screen has been underestimated. It's not a vote for Trump it's a vote against everyone else. Simon points out we watch politics but don't listen to it. The Democrats and the republicans have both done a great disservice to our culture and they should be ashamed.

Right now it appears as if we are watching a schoolyard brawl at middle school! Intelligent adults acting like prideful brats. There has been ineptitude for at least a decade. All we see is selfish behavior.

Simon goes on to pose the question? Have we got the politicians we deserve? Are they a reflection of us. How can we throw stones if we are just as immoral and prideful?

If we want them to change maybe we should be the ones to change first.

Thank about it. Think about your spiritual and cultural condition. Have you bought into the tribal, selfish individualism that had helped tear our society apart? If you have then repent- change your behavior. Pray and live a Gospel centered not a politics centered life.
