Holding On, Letting Go

"At 3, she's been in and out of hospital 15 times. How do you decide when to let your child go, and when to hold on to the slightest hope? Hard decisions like this are faced by parents and doctors inside the Children's ICU at KK Women's and Children's Hospital in Singapore." from video introduction.

In our fallen and broken world there is much suffering. The futility that came to our world through sin affects everyone, the very young and the very old. As Image bearers of our Lord we are called to minister both physically and spiritually to people in need. Do what you can do.

In your community there are many volunteer opportunities to help others. There are charities that need help, local hospitals need volunteers. Get out and get busy!

Start by loving your neighbors through truth (spreading the gospel) and mercy (meeting their needs). As a Christian we must seek opportunities for loving and caring for our neighbors and enemies. Since “while we were still sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8), we should sacrifice for and die to ourselves, not only for other Christians, but unbelievers as well.
