"Georgia O’Keeffe is one of the most significant artists of the 20th century, renowned for her contribution to modern art. Born on November 15, 1887, the second of seven children, Georgia Totto O’Keeffe grew up on a farm near Sun Prairie, Wisconsin. Georgia O'Keeffe's artistic development is incredibly inspirational, particularly her transition to abstraction under Arthur Wesley Dow's tutelage. Her use of color and form to convey feelings transformed modern painting. If I ever had to do my dissertation on significant female artists, I would love to examine her work because I respect her commitment.
