Searching For A Cure: A Patient's View - Selma Blair, Dr. Oz & Dr. David Agus

As a culture we put our actors on pedestals but they are human after all. In this video we see Selma Blair after recent chemo treatments. There is one chemo drug approved for Multiple Sclerosis.

"Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a potentially disabling disease of the brain and spinal cord (central nervous system).

In MS, the immune system attacks the protective sheath (myelin) that covers nerve fibers and causes communication problems between your brain and the rest of your body. Eventually, the disease can cause permanent damage or deterioration of the nerves." Mayo Clinic

All of us will eventually have health problems. Just as Paul moved forward regardless of his physical limitations we have models today like Selma Blair, Vaneetha Risner, Michael J Fox for example who persevere regardless.

If you are suffering from a chronic disease do not loose heart as there are many people contending with their limitations.

2 Corinthians 4:16-18 So we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day. For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison, as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal.

Once we worked to eliminate diseases in an effort to preserve lives. Now we have the evil of eliminating lives in an effort to create a disease-free society. Our secular Godless culture says a pain-free life and a disease-free world is what will ultimately buy happiness. Death is better than disability.

Christ has bought us with a price and our pain our disabilities will never have the last word.
