The Death of Cinematic Curiosity

Movies are a recent technological innovation, a blessing of creativity.

Like all things human we can and we have twisted it into sin and other vices.

Often movies have caused us to think, and contemplate the world and the universe in ways we could not imagine on our own.

Movies can affect our lives in both good and bad ways.

As our world and culture have turned in on itself we seek escape from life and life's problems. Social media has become a catalyst for navel-gazing and self-deprecation.

In turn, we have turned movies into an escape, seeking comfort over thinking and discernment.

This excellent video from Like Stories of old helps us to reflect on what the role of movies is in our culture.
