"Research into the life and work of the French illustrator Georges Meunier was more than usually frustrating. Aside from the fact that his life is very poorly documented, his Belgian contemporary Henri Georges Meunier also created many posters and quite a few sources seem to think they were the same person - but they weren't. Luckily for me Georges signed virtually all his work so I'm fairly confident there are no rogue images present. Meunier worked initially as a poster artist and subsequently as a humorous magazine illustrator, which I think makes him a more than usually interesting subject. But unfortunately a shortage of biography and usable imagery has made this video somewhat shorter than others." from the video introduction
